We were surprised when the first few people asked if we sold spurtles, since we hadn't heard of them before. They come in various styles, but the spurtle is a Scottish wooden tool that dates from the 15th century. It was originally used to stir soups, stews, broths and porridge. You can use it however you like! They can come engraved with a design or not. This particular one is made from Rocky Mountain Maple wood, but other woods may be used. All utensils are finished with a food grade tung oil. The Spurtle is approximately 9" long.
